Learn to Paint

Earlier this year, we asked an artist why we no longer see the works of arts that he could produce so wondrously and oh! so spontaneously: the passion would seize him and the specific happenings at that moment of time would be captured on the spot, in his own unique perspective. His works were so good, they were snapped up instantly by friends and relatives as self-accorded gifts even before they have a chance to see the light of day.

His reply was rather sad — as time passes and age creeps up, he has lost the passion, and therefore the inspiration.

How many artists out there are like this, who have never been able to tap into the artistic network; never been able to even rely on social networking to promote their works because they simply don't know how?

Meanwhile, there are the rest of the population who look upon artists' work in admiration and appreciation, and wonder how their own expressions through this medium would turn out if they ever get a chance to learn how to paint.

It is therefore fantastic to see the courses organized by C3A - the Council for the Third Age - conducted for those age 50 and above.

Whether as a hobby to de-stress, or as an investment in skillset where the art pieces may be eventually sold for monetary values or as gifts, this creative medium will introduce a new and interesting perspective to life.
